I usually add nut butters and health foods into my smoothies however I’ve decided to go back to basics. You don’t need to have a larder full of expensive foods to eat healthy. Here’s a simple but nutritious smoothie recipe using staple foods you’ll find in your kitchen.
Makes 1 smoothie
1 banana (use frozen for a thicker smoothie)
1 cup frozen blueberries and strawberry mix (can sub for fresh)
Handful of spinach
235ml raw coconut water- I used Mighty Bee (sub for normal coconut water or plain water)
Throw everything into a blender and mix until well combined. Add more water if you prefer a thinner smoothie.
