Well well. What a roller coaster the past 365 days have been. Together as one world, but also on a personal level. There has been gains, losses, laughter and tears. I’m just thankful that I’ve made it through 2015.
There are topics and recipes I’ve been wanting to share with you towards the latter part of the year, however my blog has not been a priority of mine. Mostly due to a hectic work schedule. In between work, I’ve been juggling university application writing for a Masters degree, studying for my Level 2 Fitness Instructing course, recipe testing and trying to find ”me” time. It’s been difficult to say the least.
Now I’m trying to fit in holiday planning as my cousin is getting married in Malaysia in March! But, I’m really excited to take some well deserved time off and enjoy a week at a resort then travelling and exploring what Malaysia has to offer.
In the meantime, I’m currently home in Manchester spending quality downtime with my friends and family. Despite being away from the workplace, writing and revising has been on my agenda and I’m sticking to it! So that’s some progress to alleviate stress and manage my workload before I head back to London.
Reflecting back on my year, I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished considering I’ve been injured since May. I’ve completed a 5k run, 2x 10k runs, cooked in a professional kitchen studio and managed to lead a vegan diet for 1 year. But more importantly, I’ve met some fantastic people on my journey. I can’t wait for what I can achieve this year, and given some thought here are my goals for 2016:
- Complete my Level 2 Fitness Instructor course
- Get accepted onto a Masters programme
- Continue to seek help for my continuous shoulder injury
- Running goals if and when injury-free: sub 5k 22 mins, sub 10k 53 mins, half marathon
- Update my blog more often!
Happy New Year! Make this year count.
